TRYOUT
RESULTS
WHAT TO EXPECT
It is always a tough decision to choose who is on a team or what position they might hold. We are going to do something a little different this coming season. Instead of posting numbers online, we are instead, going to be handing out envelopes at the end of the final day of Tryouts. They will have either an invitation to a specific team, or a letter stating their dismissal.
If you are dismissed, we simply do not feel it’s a good fit for the upcoming season. It doesn’t mean you can’t continue to work on your skills and develop as a player, and honestly, we hope that you do. If you are an underclassman, we would love to see you give it another shot next season! If you are a graduating Senior, we do realize it’s one of the hardest decisions we have to make when we cut someone that may have been in the program for a while. The decisions are never personal and we hope that you understand that, and take the opportunity to focus on your studies, or potentially another sport.
If you are chosen for a team but do not agree with the team you have been placed on, please do not take it personal. It was a joint decision by all coaches as to what teams were formed by what players. There may be an opportunity during the season to be pulled up, but that will be on a case by case basis and if and when needed. We ask that you accept the role on the team you were placed and strive to be the best player and leader for your team.
Again, we want to thank everyone for their dedication and hard work this week and we look forward to an awesome season ahead!
